A HUMAN-CENTERED SMART CITY
Developed under a set of subsequent design competitions, this project aimed to develop a holistic “smart city” proposal with the objective of creating a human-centered stack of technologies that would bring together the digital and physical experience in multifaceted relationships.
With this goal, a collection of sub-projects was designed under a framework that combined spatial, technological, and organizational proposals meant to co-exist in time with diverse life spans.
The urban product of this stack of soft and hard infrastructures was intended to be a platform for innovation, co-creation, and development, connecting the near present with the far future.
The proposed infrastructural elements and urban artifacts aimed to respond to the stakeholders’ multidimensional aspirations in a vision that promoted innovation and resiliency while prioritizing the urban needs of its future inhabitants.
